EZflow Drainage Systems: Optimized Solutions for Canadian Shield Consultant Agency
Why Choose EZflow Drainage Systems?
Superior Design for Maximum Efficiency
EZflow drainage systems are crafted from patented geo-synthetic aggregate made of recycled polystyrene, offering 35% more surface area and void volume compared to traditional crushed stone. This advanced design enhances drainage efficiency and prevents premature clogging by dirt, ensuring long-lasting performance. The systems are pre-assembled in 10-foot lengths with internal couplings, allowing precise customization to meet any installation specification.
Versatile Applications Across Canada
EZflow drainage systems are perfect for a wide range of applications, including:
Foundation drains for homes and buildings
French drains for effective water management
Interceptor drains to protect landscapes
Landscaping drains for gardens and green spaces
Roof run-off drains for urban and rural properties
Septic systems for residential and commercial use
Golf courses and sports complexes for reliable field drainage
Whether you’re managing a project in Ontario, British Columbia, or Alberta, EZflow delivers unmatched versatility and durability tailored to the unique environmental challenges of the Canadian Shield.
Cost-Effective and Time-Saving Installation
With EZflow, Canadian Shield Consultant Agency eliminates the need for heavy gravel, dump trucks, and separate handling of stone and pipe. The lightweight EPS (expanded polystyrene) aggregate significantly reduces transportation and labor costs, especially in challenging terrains like the rocky landscapes of the Canadian Shield. No wheelbarrows or shovels are needed, making installations faster and more efficient.
Built to Perform in Harsh Canadian Conditions
EZflow drainage systems combine lightweight plastic pipe and EPS aggregate, offering exceptional flexibility and durability:
Minimized Failure Risk: In clay-heavy soils common in Canada, EZflow prevents failure due to low permeability by avoiding tight compaction at the soil/aggregate interface.
High Load Resistance: Virtually indestructible under live or dead loads, EZflow performs reliably in deep trenches or under high fills, with the surrounding soil bearing most of the load.
Flexible Installation: The system’s flexibility allows it to contour around corners or follow uneven terrain, ensuring a uniform installation and preventing issues like uneven trench bottoms.
Consistent Quality: Uniform sizing ensures compliance with inspection standards, making it a trusted choice for Canadian contractors.
Environmentally Friendly Drainage Solutions
At Canadian Shield Consultant Agency, sustainability is a priority. EZflow drainage systems are designed with the environment in mind:
Recycled Materials: Made from recycled polystyrene, EZflow reduces landfill waste and conserves natural resources. A mere 100 pounds of EPS aggregate replaces eight tons of gravel, making it an eco-conscious choice.
Nondegradable and Durable: All materials are inert and built to withstand soil pressure, ensuring long-term performance in Canada’s diverse climates.
Resource Conservation: By eliminating the need for gravel, EZflow supports sustainable construction practices across Canadian projects.

💧 EZflow by Infiltrator FAQs – Canadian Shield Consulting Agency, Ontario, Canada
The tough bead was engineered to withstand the weight of a backhoe when covered with the minimum of 6″ – 10″ of backfill.
When buried in the ground the geo-synthetic aggregate will not breakdown. Exposure to the typical elements of groundwater or household chemicals will have no impact on the beads. The expanded polystyrene is a highly stable compound. The expected life span is indefinite. It is predicted that the product will last well over 100 years.
The geo-synthetic material does not leach and it contains no harmful materials that could be released into the ground water. All materials used in the assembly are inert in the expected environment. These materials are effective in demanding environments, and they will not contaminate the ground water.
The tight pack of the aggregate around the pipe allows for the bending of the unit without crimping the pipe. It can easily bend around the corner of a house in a foundation drain without the need for additional connectors or hardware.
EPS which would otherwise be waste material, is used, saving valuable landfill space.
There is no nutritional value in polystyrene and thus it attracts no termites, ants, or rodents.
Polystyrene is an inert, large molecular weight compound that does not breakdown in aqueous solutions. Polystyrene does not act as an absorbent like activated carbon, nor is polystyrene very permeable to liquids. The chemical resistance of polystyrene is well known. It is not attacked or degraded by long exposure to either bleach, soap solutions, or common household products that are poured down the drain. Polystyrene is virtually resistant to all aqueous media including dilute acids and bases.
Polystyrene has the ability to tolerate temperature ranges. It has a continuous use temperature ranges from -108 to +175 degrees Fahrenheit. It is not brittle at subzero temperature. Over time it may soften in boiling water (212 degrees Fahrenheit). Products made of polystyrene will not be affected by the harshest of temperature climates or change.
The EZ-Flow system is a modern, lightweight gravelless drain field solution used for septic and wastewater management. Instead of traditional stone and pipe designs, EZ-Flow systems use polyethylene bundles filled with synthetic aggregate, allowing for improved drainage, faster installation, and reduced environmental impact. At Canadian Shield Consulting Agency, we specialize in designing and installing EZ-Flow systems across Ontario to meet residential and commercial wastewater needs.
EZ-Flow systems offer several key advantages over conventional leaching beds:
No heavy gravel required – faster and cleaner installation
Enhanced wastewater flow and filtration
Reduced site disturbance – perfect for sensitive or small properties
Durable and long-lasting materials
Environmentally friendly and compliant with Ontario Building Code Part 8 standards
Canadian Shield Consulting Agency installs EZ-Flow systems that meet local health unit and Ministry of Environment requirements.
Yes. The EZ-Flow drain field system is approved by the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) for onsite sewage applications. Canadian Shield Consulting Agency manages the entire process—from design and permitting to installation and inspection.
Yes. EZ-Flow systems are an excellent solution for replacing failing or aging septic drain fields. They can often be installed in smaller areas than traditional systems, making them ideal for properties with space constraints or poor soil conditions. Our team can evaluate your current septic system and determine whether an EZ-Flow upgrade is right for your site.
EZ-Flow systems are low-maintenance compared to conventional leaching beds. However, it’s important to schedule regular septic tank inspections and pump-outs to maintain system efficiency. Canadian Shield Consulting Agency offers ongoing maintenance, performance inspections, and replacement services to ensure your EZ-Flow system continues to operate effectively for decades.
Absolutely. EZ-Flow systems are ideal for cottages, cabins, and seasonal homes across Ontario. Their modular design and durability make them easy to install in remote or uneven terrain, and they perform reliably even with intermittent seasonal use. Canadian Shield Consulting Agency frequently installs EZ-Flow systems in Muskoka, Haliburton, and the Kawarthas.
Costs vary depending on the site and system size, but the average EZ-Flow installation in Ontario ranges between $12,000 and $20,000.
